...OMG, this thing is ten years old next year. >>;
Anyhow, it's times like now when I'm randomly roaming LJ that make me wonder about some of my old internet friends and where they are right now. That said, if you happen to know me (and whatever state our friendship was at that I failed at as usual if I was being a dumbass with you), give me a shout out here. I continue to feel amazed everyday by the fact that I even have some friends that I've known a decade or more as it is. >>; (Not that I'm complaining, my lovelies~ *♥s IB, Knave, & TC...and Amanda, but she's different*)
Also feel free to let me know if you have Facebook if you haven't already, as I've started trying to keep up with folks there. Just know I sometimes turn into even more of a retard there thanks to alcohol and politics. >>;;;
...I feel like I should make some musical reference, because that's what I did before when I was trying to keep this thing updated. ...But you know what? Just listen to the song in the "current music" choice if you haven't already. It's almost always related to something concerning me when I use Livejournal these days.

...And this journal reminds me of that fact.
...Though considering those who first got me into this, I'm probably a young reminder at times....
....Fuck life. >_>;

As usual, it seems my internet provider is being a bitch and has been exceptionally so for the past week. I think I've worked things out for the time being finally, but I think I really do need to find a new provider for the household. Doesn't help my brother wastes a shitload of data space according to AT&T. >>;; But whatever. I've kinda needed a push away from AT&T for a while now. It suddenly placing a data restriction sounds like a good enough reason.
...Aside from that, I've found I've now become obsessed with a new fandom. And I mean, seriously. What little time I could spare on wifi elsewhere while not busy with schoolwork was directed at this webcomic and fandom. And I know that kinda fucks over some obligations I've made somewhat, but since I started reading this rather epic story, I can't seem to stop myself.
So what's this "totally sick and strictly badass" series, you ask? ....Homestuck
. I'm sure plenty have heard of it, whether negative or positive (especially with its insane memes and massive fanbase), but...Jegus. How did I *not* know of this for so long? >>;;
Anyhow, while not continuing to get distracted by Homestuck, I shall try to catch up with my RP groups this weekend. I haven't spoken to most of them in a week thanks to AT&T's bullshit.
I also am way overdue on responding to a few biffles on Facebook. ...Have I mentioned I hate Facebook? Yes? Well, I'm mentioning it again. >>;
A comment from a friend in my last entry made me contemplate the various professions that wear uniforms. And really, thinking about it, quite a few do, don't they? So now I'm wondering about all the ones that do and feel like listing them:
*Medical/Dental fields in general (The show was called Scrubs for a reason)
*Cooks (depending on the location and our various cookery students wear uniforms because of it)
I imagine there's far more than just those, so I'm curious to find out what they are. Folks are free to offer what they know.
...Anyhow~ Aside from that, returning to school life's not been too bad~ I definitely feel like I'm out of practice at learning in a school setting still, but it's not a bad thing. And hell, maybe I'll make a few friends along the way. Anyway you look at it though, it's definitely very interesting...and I like it~
Yaaaayyy~ All prepared for class now. Got my books, got my uniform (may take pics with me in it if I end up feeling like it and asking my mother to take them, because I totally look LIKE A BOSS), got all my fucking tedious vaccination shots and physical forms signed....or at least the ones necessary for the time being. Either way, should be ready for greeting the EMT program head on.
...Now let's see how much I fail on my first day tomorrow~!
...In other news I brought up, didn't go to high school reunion. I have some regret over it, but in the end...don't think it was worth it.
What was the biggest lesson learned from your adolescence?
Keep to your guns. High school is as shallow and unimportant as you think it is. ...Unless you allow it to be otherwise. And in that case...well, good luck at the 10 year reunion. .........That said, I'm a hypocrite and if my conscience bugs me enough to see and try to find a few certain people, I'll be going to see the whole lot of them just for that.
...Also, pets love you more than your social acquaintances, and even some so-called friends. Stop thinking different.
But as the random saying of the day goes: "We'd get so excited and we'd get so scared, laughing at ourselves, thinking life's not fair."
What are you studying or did you study in school? Is it related to what you want to do for your career?
Yup~ I've pretty much always wanted to enter the realm of medicine, but have had troubles with deciding where, thanks partially due to my discomforts in life, but also due to my worries and desires to protect those I care about. But finally, I made a choice. Paramedics. And now I'm currently working towards my EMT license. I already know it'll be a tough road to take just because of what I'll have to deal with, but if fate is fair to me, it will prove to be a good thing for me.
But as the random saying of the day goes: "Gotta keep your head up, and you can let your hair down."

*blows cobwebs off journal* Ah, good god, this old thing needs serious renovating. >>;
It's been a while since I've used my personal account. ...Okay, yeah, close to two years since I last used it. But digging around it while making a comment with it for the first time in a quite a long while outside RPing circles made me think it might be nice to see what I can do with it. Can I rebuild it? Do I have the technology? Yada yada more pop culture references and so on and so forth. Whatever. Recalling the many stretches of months passing between posts here at times, though, wouldn't be surprised if I end up abandoning it again for who knows how long. Worth a shot, though. And hey, at least it's better than Facebook. I hate that damn thing most of the time.

For months now, I've been dodging my mother's asking for Christmas gift ideas. Mostly because I couldn't think of anything that I didn't already have or that she would be able to get me. (I can think of a number of things online I could ask her for, but she's the old fashioned type that refuses to do any shopping online for things. So anything that way is out of the question.) I eventually gave her the answer that I wanted a smart phone (not necessarily an iPhone, just one along those lines), but she started whining that she didn't want to sign our family up for the internet service that would come with it, so I get the feeling she's probably not going to get me that, and has continued to ask me for things. So last week I suggested Rosetta Stone. That's something that I really want, though I don't know if she'll be able to get that either. But here's hoping. I'd love to get my hands on a copy of the Japanese or Spanish levels.
But yesterday, Mom brought up another idea for a gift that actually held my interest and is making me think about it. And that's some sort of instrument. She'd buy the instrument I want as well as DVDs or books or lessons on how to teach myself how to play it. And considering how many different instruments are out there, the options are limitless. So I think I rather like the idea. Of course, me being myself, I don't really want a typical instrument. So I've started looking into bunches of different instruments from around the world. Yup, including Japanese ones, of course, several of which are at the top of my list of instruments I'd like to play. In fact, I'd probably absolutely adore it if I could learn how to play a sanshin and it's my number one pick so far. But being a regional Japanese instrument, it may be a bit hard to get my hands on one and would probably be very expensive. So maybe the shamisen would be another option. They are similar.
Eh~ Well...got a lot of research to do still before I decide, though. And gotta look into the availability of my choices also. But I think I could have a lot of fun with this, and now I'm rather excited about Christmas because of it~! :D And if anyone has any nice suggestions on different kinds of lesser known instruments, I'd love to hear about them! Anything that'll help me make up my mind on things is happily welcomed! ^^
Oh, and a happy Turkey Day to everyone who celebrates it~! Hope you all enjoyed stuffing yourself silly much like I did~!
Pfft~! Stuffing~ I made a pun~ *Bane kick* Ahh~ I'm gonna be eating nothing but turkey and ham for the next week~ And pumpkin pie~ 'Cause we have plenty of pie leftover this time also~! Woohoo!!
